Admission Requirements
OBU Graduate School accepts applications for new Fall and Spring cohorts. To be considered for enrollment, applicants must meet the following requirements for each degree program.

Applicants are required to submit the following materials for admission approval:
- Application to OBU Graduate School
- A current resume
- Essay
- Two letters of recommendation
- Official transcripts (at least 3.0 GPA, or 2.5 GPA to be admitted conditionally)
- GMAT scores - MBA only(must be taken within first six months of enrollment in MBA program)
- MAT scores - MSN only
- TOEFL scores - for international students only
- International Student Financial Guarantee (Graduate School) (International Students only)
- International Student Financial Guarantee (University Degree) (International Students only)
- Intensive English Program Application (online form)
- Intensive English Program Financial Guarantee (International Students only)
- Campus Housing Application (Only if planning to live on main campus)
MBA Admissions Requirements
- An earned Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.0 or higher. The undergraduate degree does not need to be in a business field; in fact, working professionals with degrees in other fields are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Basic competency in general business knowledge.This can be demonstrated through
- Undergraduate coursework in accounting, finance, economics and statistics.
- Passing the appropriate College-Level Examination Program (CLEP)
- Passing the appropriate Ivy Software Examination (Pre-Course Assessment or Post-Course Exam)
Applicants without a business background may obtain optional, self-paced assessment courses through Ivy Software. These are available in the graduate school office or here.
In addition, students are expected to be proficient in using software for word processing, spreadsheet, email and presentations. Some familiarity with database management is encouraged.
Transfer Credit
A maximum of six credit hours, or two courses, from an accredited graduate school of business will be considered for transfer credit. Only grades of 3.0 or above will be considered, and coursework should have been completed within the last six years. Transfer credit requests will be evaluated by the Graduate Admissions Committee, and are not automatically granted.
MSN Admissions Requirements
- An earned Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing with a grade point average of 3.0 or higher. The degree must be obtained from a program accredited by a nationally recognized nursing accrediting body.
- Successful completion of a basic statistics course.
- A current license to practice as a registered nurse in the United States.
- Two years full-time work experience as a registered nurse is preferred. Exceptional students with less work experience may be considered on a space-available basis.
General Information
No application fee is required. Applicants may submit materials via online, email, mail or fax. Official transcripts must be mailed directly to OBU Graduate School from the issuing institution. Click here to apply online and upload a resume and essay.
Tuition, Fee and Book Expense
OBU is very competitive in its educational costs for students. Tuition is only $450 per credit hour for both the MBA and MSN programs -- a great bargain for the quality you receive. The only additional fee is a $50 graduation fee. Textbook expenses vary based on where you secure your textbooks. All textbooks may be purchased at the OBU bookstore.
The OBU Graduate School will work with you in regards to how you pay for your graduate degree. You may pay as you go each semester. We can work with your employer if your employer has a tuition reimbursement program. You may also discuss financial aid through student loans with our Student Financial Services office on the main campus. We are here to help you reach your goals. International Students
If English is not the official language of instruction in your country, you have two options to demonstrate an acceptable usage of the English language. You may submit results of the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) directly from the corporation to the OBU Graduate School Office (Our institution code for TOEFL is 6541). You may also submit results from the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) directly from the corporation to the OBU Graduate School Office. A minimum TOEFL score of 550 or more (or 213 on the computer-based test, 80 on the internet-based test) is required. A minimum IELTS score of 6.5 is required.

The OBU Graduate Council is charged with oversight of all graduate programs. The Council is composed of the Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs, the Graduate School Director, Academic Deans, the Dean of Enrollment Management, and appointed faculty members.
Privacy
The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) affords students certain rights with respect to their education records. These rights include:
The right to inspect and review the student's education records within 45 days of the day the University receives a request for access.
The right to request the amendment of the student's education records that the student believes are inaccurate or misleading.
The right to consent to disclosures of personally identifiable information contained in the student's education records, except to the extent that FERPA authorizes disclosure without consent.
The University may also release any student record to the parents of a dependent student, as defined in section 152 of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986.
The right to file a complaint with the U.S. Department of Education concerning alleged failures by the University to comply with the requirements of FERPA.

Some reading and written assignments are to be completed before the first class meeting, so arrangements should be made early to purchase required textbooks. Library and reference materials are accessible online, so travel to the main campus library is not necessary.
