WORDS OF THANKS
This note has been a long time coming. It has taken so long to thank you for your many prayers, notes, and gifts because I am just now regaining my speech from being overwhelmed by your generosity! I wasn’t there when Marcos brought the literal car load of food, cards, and other gifts from you and even though it had been mostly put away into freezers (yes that ‘s’ belongs there) when I returned home, it was still obvious we had been pounded as no other. God used your graciousness during a difficult time to sustain me and my family. That same spirit continues to fuel my appreciation for being a part of such a special institution. I am humbled each and every time I think of you. Mandy has come out of a very difficult time, and has a much longer road ahead. She is handling the difficulties in communication and the mental confusion like the woman of faith I always knew her to be. She is strong because the God she serves is strong, and she is encouraged because she knows she and her family are surrounded by the body of Christ. We praise God for ordering of our steps to bring us here four years ago. We never wish to go through something like this again, but are now far enough removed to see blessings that could never have come to us in any other way. Thank you for being a blessing! – Michael White, Women’s Soccer Coach ============================== Tony and I wish to thank the OBU community for supporting us spiritually after the passing of my mother. She was an educator and all three of us siblings followed in her footsteps; she loved to travel and learn about different cultures and people. By now you can see that without her inspiration, I probably would not be here at OBU today. She was the one to sign me up on the very first scholarship that brought me to this country, and the rest is history. We also thank you for the beautiful plant, which reminded us too of mother’s love for her flowers and garden. We cherished all the cards, thoughts and prayers that were sent our way. – Lucrecia Litherland

If you have seen it, please send an email to katie.chadwick@okbu.edu.
