History of OBU
Women's BasketballWomen’s basketball at OBU began in 1975. In 1979, the team joined the Sooner Athletic Conference, winning the conference title that same year. Since then, women’s basketball has won the Sooner Athletic Conference in 1982, 1983, and 1997 as well as achieving a winning record in those eight NAIA Tournaments during the last eight years. They have produced 57 All-Conference athletes and five first-team All-America athletes.
The women have eight consecutive national tournament appearances, as well as a national ranking in 13 of the last 26 seasons.
