Academics
Oklahoma Baptist University offers 10 bachelor's degrees in 84 programs of study. Some of the most prominent programs are Nursing, Teacher Education, Business, Pre-Med, Bible and Youth Ministry. For a full list of programs click here.
The faculty to student ratio is 1:15. All classes are taught by professors.
OBU is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools as well as several departmental accrediting entities.
Two master's degrees are offered at our Oklahoma City campus: Master's of Business Administration and Master's of Science in Nursing.
Recognition
OBU is ranked #2 among baccalaureate colleges in the Western Region in the 2010 U.S. News & World Report "America's Best Colleges" ratings (second only to the United States Air Force Academy).
OBU has been Oklahoma's highest rated college in the U.S. News & World Report rankings for 16 consecutive years and in the magazine's regional "top 10" for 18 years in a row. OBU was the highest rated college among all Oklahoma universities in the Forbes.com 2008 ranking of "America's Best Colleges."
OBU also is listed in the latest "America's Best Value Colleges" rankings compiled by the Princeton Review. OBU was also named as a "Best in the West" institution in 2010 by The Princeton Review for the fourth year in a row.
Athletics
Oklahoma Baptist University competes in 17 varsity sports through the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). The Bison and Lady Bison have claimed three national championships in the past four years.
Costs and Financial Aid
Total cost (tuition, room, board, fees) for 2010-11 is $24,300.
More than 95% of our students receive financial aid. OBU students graduate with less student loan debt than those graduating from Oklahoma's major research universities.
